How We Made a Sit Stand Desk with Drawers

Owl Drawer Pull

One of the most challenging projects for our steampunk-inspired home office was our sit stand desk with drawers. Have you ever seen one in real life? Yeah, me neither. But why not? We couldn’t think of a good reason, so we made one.

Hubby did the woodworking and most of the measurements, and I did all of the finishing—staining, chalk painting, and waxing. Together we merged how I envisioned it working with the physics of the real world. 😉

Here’s a video where he walks through the process of how he built the desk.

Here are some pictures for your scrolling pleasure.

It is impressive the creativity you both have. I am amazed at the desk you have designed and completed. Your how to video was very interesting, informative and enjoyable to watch. Not only does it look suitable for almost any office decor, but it also gives the healthy option of standing or sitting. Congratulations on a job well done!
